The Look - Leather Vest

I'm a huge lover of mixing brands, and styles together and I specially love mixing luxury items with pieces that are more affordable.  I literally jump up in happiness when I walk into a bargain store and find that once in a blue moon holy grail piece.  I call the holy grail piece anything that looks like it should belong in Neiman Marcus but has a price tag of not Neiman Marcus.  It's my little mission when I go to the mall to find these holy grail pieces, because honestly as much as that Balmain leather vest might look incredible, I honestly don't want to spend that kind of money on one item - unless they are shoes of course :) .  So you can imagine my excitement when I walked into Forever21 with my sister and ran into this incredible faux leather vest and discovered it cost only $37.80 - HOLY GRAIL moment!  There are so many ways you can wear a leather vest, or any vest for that matter.  I just love how it makes any outfit look a little more put together when you throw a vest over it - It's like you are instantly glamorizing your outfit!  I figured I'd go all out with this jacket and pair it with a more rockerish look.  So I opted for my trusty torn jeans from Zara and my camo booties from Kurt Geiger.  What do you think?

Why Black Friday is the Best Day to Shop!

Black Friday is by far the best day to hit the mall with your girlfriends and enjoy a little retail therapy.  Not only to enjoy the rush of getting that amazing deal, but all that walking and carrying hundreds of bags is definitely helping burn all the calories from that incredible pumpkin pie from Grandma that you stuffed down your throat!

A couple of years ago my sister and I went Black Friday shopping at 11pm on Thanksgiving day.  We shopped till 8am, drank way more coffee then anyone would consider normal and bought so many things that we had to go shopping for hangers to be able to put it away!  Needless to say, we had a super fun time, got great deals and some serious sister bonding!

Lady Gaga or Donatella?

Lady Gaga is the new face of Versace, and in the new ads that have just surfaced the star is seriously channeling the famous brand's designer Donatella Versace! Versace announced over twitter this Saturday confirming that Lady Gaga is in fact the new face of the Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

This choice is definitely not surprising since Lady Gaga has been a huge fan of Versace for years now.  They even created all the looks for her 2012 Born This Way tour and the singer  dedicated a song on her new album to Donatella, called "Donatella".  Versace loves Gaga and Gaga clearly loves Versace.  It's a match made in fashion heaven!

The Zodiac according to Charlotte Olympia

Charlotte Olympia does it again - and we couldn't expect her not to! The fabulous and super innovative designer took one of women's favorite subjects and transformed it into super cute and obviously a super fashionable new line of flats and clutches. Her newest line called "Birthday Shoes" is fully inspired by the 12 zodiac signs, “I’ve always had a thing for all things mystical,” says designer Charlotte Dellal. “I don’t live by astrology but I do love to know other people’s signs; I’m quite good at guessing.”

I'm a true Leo from head to toe and deep inside my heart, but with the breathtaking variety of designs and colors in this collection I almost wish I was a Gemini or a Libra - they are a must have!  The beautiful suede slip-on with a Swarovski crystal-embellished motif representing each sign retails for $695 while her staple Pandora clutches go for a pricey $995 and are pretty much already sold out in most retail locations and websites.

So be spontaneous like a Sagittarius or super fashionable like a Leo and a Libra and go get your own piece of Charlotte Olympia "Birthday Shoe" collection!

Rocking Valentino RockStuds

Valentino is simply unbelievable and even though his Rockstud Collection isn't new, I just can't get enough of it! Celebrities everywhere are rocking the bags, pumps and even flats from this collection.  The super chic, delicate but yet 'rockerish' details of each item makes this a must have item in your wardrobe and will easily add oomph to any little black dress - making you have an incredible 'Oh la la' moment and look Super Fashionable. Every single piece is just perfection and I'm completely obsessed, as I'm sure you are too. Valentino Rockstuds are definitely made for rocking!

Charlotte Olympia's Brazilian Collection

Charlotte Olympia Dellal, is the half-Brazilian, half-English designer behind her self titled label Charlotte Olympia.  The 31-year-old designer, whose mother was a 70's Brazilian model, brought much of her background as inspiration for her 2013 Resort Collection called 'Glamazon'.  The collection is super fun and filled with bright colors, flowers, animal details and even the super Brazilian and iconic “Senhor do Bonfim” ribbons.  As a Brazilian woman I am extremely proud of the work Charlotte has done in this collection.  I think it portrays our culture in a beautiful and super fashionable way.  I can't wait to get my hands in some of these designs.  I'm sure these shoes will make you want to sip of some delicious caipirinha and listen to good Samba music.

Vogue España is on Fire!

Mario Testino does it again, and this time it is hotter than ever!  In the December issue of Vogue España, he captures the most beautiful women in the world in extremely sensual, high fashion and playboy-esk images all at the same time.  The gorgeous  Isabeli Fontana, Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr, Toni Garrn, Irina Shayk, Constance Jablonski, Edita Vilkeviciute, Alessandra Ambrosio & Izabel Goulart were the lucky models chosen to be in front of Mario's lens. Of course the main super model in this issue of Vogue España is Mario's all time favorite Kate Moss, who has her own spread in the magazine and made it on the cover. Duh, not surprised at all!  A Thanks to Mario Testino from the fashion world and most men who see these images - I guess this is our Christmas gift from him.

Beauty Trend - BB Cream

Hi SF ladies,

So we have all heard of foundation (duh!) and moisturizer (double duh!), but some of us haven't heard of BB Cream...so here I am to tell you all about it!

So what is BB Cream? Very simple actually.  BB Cream stands for Blemish Base Cream and essentially its an all-in-one facial product, and my must have, go to, favorite thing, now item! By all-in-one I mean it  replaces your serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock! Phew! Can you believe it?!  Seriously, that's the magic of it.  BB Creams are almost like a tinted moisturizer, but imagine your tinted moisturizer took steroids, was dating a VS model and bought a Ferrari...then it could join the BB Cream clique.

Of course if you want a super intense look you might still want to pick up your primer and foundation, but for everyday use BB Cream is just incredible.

For an everyday look I tend to still moisturize my face (just because I am a moisturizer freak) before applying the BB Cream, and for more intense looks I tend to also apply serum and primer.  I don't apply foundation just because I don't tend to use it, but if you do then I would apply a little extra as the BB Cream is not a full coverage product.

I've tried tons of different brands until I've found my current favorite.  I am completely obsessed with the Dior BB Cream as the foundation is a bit more pigmented making it a medium coverage cream. Plus, once applied it doesn't look as shiny as some of the other ones I've tried, it has more of a matte look which I prefer.

Here are my favorites...and remember...for some of these you can ALWAYS take a little trip to Sephora and ask for samples before you make a purchase - especially since some of these creams can be a bit pricey. So try them out first before you take the big purchasing step.

What They Wore - 2012 MTV European Music Awards

The MTV EMA's took place last night in Frankfurt, Germany and the event looked like it would be a promising one ever since Heidi Klum was announced as the host of the awards show.  The night was fun and exciting and the winners were many, however the outfits....well... I was a bit underwhelmed by what I saw (and I think that's putting it mildly).  I'm usually not one to critique at all, so I wont, I'll leave it up to you guys to decided what you thought of the outfits of the night. Love them or hate them?

Sneak Peek - Nicholas Kirkwood VS Fashion Show Shoes

As expected the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012 brought to the runway beautiful models, breathtaking lingerie, super star performances and jaw dropping jewelry - but what almost completely stole the show and had everyone wondering where they came from....were the shoes! The incredible British designer Nicholas Kirkwood had everything to do with the show stopping glittery and sky-high heels the models were strutting the runway with. The good news is that you don't have to wait until December 4th, when the show airs, to see these amazing shoes - we have a sneak peek here!

2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show - Brazilian Angels

Last night New York City was pink and lacy as the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was taking place in full lingerie force at the Lexington Armory.  The show was stunning and the girls look amazingly beautiful.  This year Brazilian Angel Alessandra Ambrosio had the huge honor of wearing the Fantasy Bra for the very first time during the show! This year's bra is estimated to cost $2.5 million, containing a 20-carat white diamond centrepiece, and delicate flowers made from 5,200 precious and semi-precious stones, including rubies, amethysts, sapphires, and white, pink and yellow diamonds. That's one Super seriously Fashionable bra!

As a Brazilian girl I just had to highlight the beautiful looks that were brought to the runway by Brazil's finest super models - VS Angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, Isabelli Fontana and Barbara Fialho. Take a look and don't worry - its ok to hate them a little bit (but just a little)! ❤

Well for one the entire dress, including the lace, are handmade! Seriously Super Fashionable.

When you talk about fashionable iPhone cases, these have are at the very top of the list. DANNIJO is known for having incredible jewelry, but they have really outdone themselves when it comes to iPhone cases, from far away they look like jewels on your phone.
